About The Exam:
In order to receive CompTIA A+ certification a candidate must pass two exams. The first exam is CompTIA A+ Essentials. The CompTIA A+ Essentials Examination measures necessary competencies for an entry-level IT professional with the equivalent knowledge of at least 500 hours of hands-on experience in the lab or field. Hands-on experience or equivalent knowledge includes installing, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing, and performing preventive maintenance of basic personal computer hardware and operating systems.

220-604 Depot Technician CompTIA A+ 220-604 tests the candidate’s ability in work-related senarios such as repair bench that emphasize computer repair and troubleshooting. Candidates who pass this exam plus CompTIA A+ Essentials will be CompTIA A+ certified with the Depot Technician designation. Example Job Roles:

220-603 Remote Support Technician The CompTIA A+ 220-603 examination is targeted for individuals who work or intend to work in a remote-based work environment where client interaction, client training, operating system and connectivity issues are emphasized. Example Job Roles:

220-602 IT Technician The CompTIA A+ 220-602 exam is targeted for individuals who work or intend to work in a mobile or corporate technical environment with a high level of face-to-face client interaction. Example Job Roles:

- 220-601 - CompTIA A+ Essentials (100 questions)
- 220-602 IT Technician (90 questions)
- 220-603 Remote Support Technician (90 questions)
- 220-604 Depot Technician (90 questions)
You are allowed 90 minutes to complete each exam.
Minimum passing score (scale of 100-900):
- 220-601 CompTIA A+ Essentials 675
- 220-602 IT Technician 700
- 220-603 Remote Support Technician 700
- 220-604 Depot Technician 700
